Accreditation

Accreditation | Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS)

TUFS has a charter from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. TUFS is also accredited by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Quality Enhancement of Higher Education (NIAD-QE), which is one of the five university-level accreditation organizations certified by the MEXT.

Since the current national accreditation system was introduced in 2004, TUFS was evaluated and granted accreditation by the NIAD-QE in AY2007, AY2013 and AY2019*. When accreditation is granted, it is valid for a period of up to 7 years.

*AY: Academic Year, which starts in April and ends in March in the following year.
